Literary Love Savannah just announced a few more events that I’m participating in, so now I’m excited again.
Readers have until May 5, I think, to sign up.
I am saving ideas for swag for readers. I am focusing on my paranormal cozy mysteries. I mean, isn’t Savannah one of the more haunted cities—yes that’s someone talking at the ghost tour I went on last summer, not with LLS but on my way home from Florida.
My hopes for this trip are to visit the Grave Face Museum, which has a lot of serial killer items and looks very creepy. I hope it gives me lots of ideas for both mysteries and also ways I can involve the paranormal.
One my ideas for my Hotel Manager, Maggie, of The Haunted Hotel Series, is to have her go to a writer’s conference there. I’ll have to figure out a way to keep Olive involved, as she’s one of my most interesting characters in that book. And for those who like Maggie and Olive, yes, there is at least one more book in the series, already percolating away and will hopefully be out before the end of the year.
I always add hopefully so as not to tempt the gods of fate. I mean, if I said I would have it out, all sorts of things might happen, right? This way I can go with the flow.
If you’re wondering what I’m reading, I delved into near future, comic Science Fiction. Connie Wills’ Crosstalk was an enjoyable read that kept me smiling throughout the book. Plenty of food for thought on connection and communication. Not everyone who read it loved it, per the other reviews but it hit me just fine, though I can agree that Briddey has some horribly annoying relatives and yes, the romantic part comes across as manipulative, but the writing carried me through and it was an enjoyable several hours.
